Quality service for Quality Companies

Mark York &

A native of Snyder, Texas; Mark grew up among the West Texas oil fields and began his life's work in the oil business at a young age as his father had done before him.  He worked in, and learned all the aspects of the business and now has more than 50 years of experience.

In 2011, his employer sent him to Grand Cane on a job assignment.  Mark and his wife Nancy were immediately drawn to the friendliness of the people.  They began attending Grand Cane Methodist Church and enjoyed the fellowship there.  Mark also noted the warm welcome of Mayor Marsha Richardson as well as her pro-business attitude.

With significant drilling activity in the area, and a number of production gas wells, Mark concluded there was sufficient activity to form a business servicing these wells.  He and his wife Nancy then formed York Torc and Test and became permanent residents of Grand Cane.

Relationships

Our company thrives by attention to detail in our developing professional relationships with each individual company we service.

Experience

2 Generations and over 50 years of experience in Oil and Gas provides a competitive edge and increased safety margins across the board.

Accountability

With over 40 employees in multiple locations, we are able to perform highly specialized services with 24 hour security on site.

Our Mission

We Aim to Build a Safer Quality Location for You.

The company provides all services at the well site essential to the production of oil and gas.  This includes torque and test, pressure pumping, and acidizing.  The pressure pumping presses fluids through layers of rock to extract the gas.  Acidizing improves and lengthens the productivity of the well.  In order to ensure safety at the well site, 24-hour gate guards are provided along with traffic control and radio communications.  The company not only services the Grand Cane area but also clients from Austin, Tx to Arkansas.

York Torc & Test has a total of 40 employees at various locations to perform these highly specialized services.  In addition to owners Mark and Nancy York and a secretary, three other employees work in the historic building.  Daniel Zawodnik is Operations Manager and Stacie Crocker is Office Manager and Dispatcher.

Family First

In addition to managing the company, Mark and Nancy are involved in charitable endeavors.  York Torc & Test has received recognition for its fundraising efforts on behalf of Texas Oilfield Angels; an organization that provides assistance to families of workers injured or killed working in the oil field.  This family owned business provides essentially the same services as large companies such as Halliburton.  The presence of a successful business in this historic building ensures its preservation.  Mark explains that gas will be flowing from the area gas wells for years in the future.  The work of this family owned business also ensures a source of clean and inexpensive energy for the nation.
